Our flagship bakery in the heart of Westfield, NJ’s gorgeous downtown officially opened its doors in September 2022, marking the culmination of a long but rewarding journey.
As a professional pastry chef with 20+ years of experience, Uyen had always dreamed of opening her own bakery. Then she met Jeff, a former Wall Street executive-turned-restaurateur, who had moved from New York City to LA to pursue his own dream of working in hospitality. When the pandemic hit in 2020, they combined their talents to start sending cookies to family and friends around the country.
Kirshenbaum Baking Co. soon outgrew its humble beginnings and required a commercial space and a team of bakers to meet the nationwide demand for their delicious treats. Today, the bakery is a celebration of Uyen and Jeff’s combined talents and a testament to the incredible journey that brought them together.
Our entire menu, from hearth baked breads and artisan sandwiches to seasonal pies and pastries, is handcrafted in-house using time honored techniques and premium ingredients.
At KBC (as we like to call it), there’s a belief that food should make you smile; so we like to surround ourselves with people who feel as passionately about it as we do. That philosophy guides everything we do from creating our menu to building our teams. Stop by and see for yourself!
